We built Heron to be simple, private, and respectful of your data. Here's exactly what that means.
Heron does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:
All functionality in Heron — the Algebra Engine, Unit Circle, and Scientific Notation tools — operates entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party. Your inputs exist only in your device's memory while the app is running and are not saved or transmitted anywhere.
Heron is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms may collect certain usage and device information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review:
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party services.
Heron is designed for high school students and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for use by students of all ages.
If we ever change our privacy practices — for example if we introduce optional features that involve data collection — we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. We will never introduce data collection without clearly disclosing it here.
