Heron is built to be simple, private, and respectful of your data.
Heron does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:
All functionality in Heron — the Algebra Engine, Unit Circle, and Scientific Notation tools — operates entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to any server or third party. Your inputs exist only in your device's memory while the app is running.
Heron is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms may collect certain usage and device information in accordance with their own privacy policies:
Heron is designed for high school students and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for use by students of all ages.
If privacy practices ever change — for example if optional features involving data collection are introduced — this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. Data collection will never be introduced without clearly disclosing it here first.
